DESIGN DOC - RISE

Problem: High turnover rate among hosts/hostesses at Mama's Fork & Spoon Diner; Needed training to lessen the time servers needed to spend training new hires.

Solution: A 15 - 20-minute Articulate Rise course that focuses on training new hosts and hostesses for their first day on the job.  Some of the interactions embedded into this course include flip cards, a card sort, a tab interaction, and a workplace scenario.

Tool Used: Microsoft Word

Problem: Company X plans to hire 2000 new employees over the course of the next year, but their recruiters and hiring managers do not seem to have the same abilities when it comes to candidate selection.  They would like a more consistent and effective process in place so they have the best candidates from which to choose.

Solution: An eLearning course that allows learners to see the hiring cycle in action and participate in interview scenarios.

Tools Used: Microsoft Word

Instructional Design: Take a look at the Storyboard that goes with this design doc.

Problem: The disabled in County A were unable to wait for service dogs from reputable agencies and decided to train their own, leading to dogs that were not trained well being in public places.

Solution:  A 30-minute Storyline 360 course that disabled people and their family member could take so they could learn how to better train the animals they take into public.  This course focuses on types of animals, laws regarding service dogs, and the types of certifications one might participate in to train their own service animal.

Tools Used:  Microsoft Word

Instructional Design:  Take a look at the Live Storyline 360 course and Storyboard for this course.

Problem: Nutritionists at the ABC Clinic have too many type 2 diabetes referrals with which to keep up.  Recently diagnosed diabetics are waiting up to a month or more to be seen in the clinic.

Solution:  Several micro-learning videos to help educate type 2 diabetics about necessary lifestyle changes that they can view while they await an appointment with the nutritionist. This is the first video in the series.

Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Canva
